Guys, last year you expressed your anger with the Abbott Governments insulting pay offer to the ADF, and supported my petition. The government held the line that there simply was no money in the budget to improve the offer. then they magically managed to find an additional miserly 0.5% to improve the offer. At the same time the Speaker of the House, Bronwyn Bishop was spending $88,000 + of tax payers money in an attempt to secure herself a prestigious new job in Europe. Subsequently she spent over $5,000 of tax payers chartering a helicopter to take her from Melbourne CBD to Geelong to a Liberal party fund raising event. There is a Change.org petition calling for Bronwyn Bishop to resign her position as Speaker immediately. If you are as outraged as I am at this open demonstration of contempt for the Australian public, please sign the petition below.
