BCCA is a local, incorporated not-for-profit and registered charity formed by local parents and community members. We are preparing an Expression of Interest to operate the Wind in the Willows childcare service as a community-led not-for-profit, governed by a volunteer parent and community board, as the Town of Bassendean transitions away from operating the service in 2027.
We believe the Wind in the Willows is worth preserving, not just for the high quality childcare it provides, but for the philosophy and its strong sense of community that make it truly special. Our goal is to keep community spirit at the heart of its future, with local leadership and a focus on children, families & educators.
About the fundraising: Funds raised will support BCCA’s charitable purposes and help build financial capacity. BCCA’s Expression of Interest is part of a competitive process, and there is no guarantee that BCCA will be selected by the Town of Bassendean to operate the service.
