Dear Wind in the Willows supporters, 

We are pleased to share that the Town of Bassendean has called a Special Meeting of Electors and we encourage community members to attend:

🕧Time: 6.00pm
📍Location: Swan Districts Football Club, Old Perth Road, Steel Blue Oval, Bassendean WA 6054

The purpose of the meeting is for Electors to consider: The proposed divestment (including potential sale, transfer or other disposal) of the council-operated childcare services Wind in the Willows prior to any final decision. 

This meeting has been called in response to the formal paper petition we submitted to the Town of Bassendean and is a very welcome opportunity for the community to ask questions and seek further information about the proposal.

The Town of Bassendean is inviting submissions on the planned sale of Wind in the Willows to a private provider. Submissions are due by 4pm this Friday 13th. We encourage you to take a few minutes to let the Town know you disagree with the proposed sale, and call for transparency and genuine community consultation.
