We've previously updated you on how the City Council scrambled on June 25 to cover up their egregious mishandling of the 2023 increase in the city's noise limits. Council members didn't read the seriously flawed ordinance they approved -- and what you got was daytime noise limits that are 8X higher and doubled night time limits. Phil Zisman has chronicled this "curiouser and curiouser" Alice in Wonderland tale in the Yonkers Ledger. Phil's a friend and I also contribute to the Yonkers Ledger from time to time. But Phil comes to this with some pretty serious chops: he was the city's first inspector general, from 1998 to 2010, and was the Director of the Association of Inspectors General. He briefly served on the Yonkers Board of Ethics, appointed by Mayor Mike Spano. Please encouraged your friends to sign our petition, closing in now on 1,000 signatures.
