Who loses? The seafood vendors, suppliers, wait staff, cooks and our community. This is what outsiders, Bixby Bridge Capital Group in Chicago and IGY Marinas, who don't know local water, do — Destroy local! MAXIMO MARINA's PROJECT SCHEDULE IGY Marinas is not sharing. To do so would tell us when the Shack is scheduled to be demolished. Certainly the Shack can stay there another year, maybe two. This construction may impacts Moorings of Maximo's seawall replacement. WHO's TELLING THE TRUTH? Is it Margaret or Steven Fass of Bixby Bridge Capital? Steven Fass lost credibility when a Broadwater resident shared that IGY Marinas told them Maximo Seafood Shack was staying. Oops! CANADIAN COMMENT Maximo Seafood Shack is an exemplary old Florida establishment, well deserving of its reputation and loyal clientele. If St. Petersburg continues getting too big for its britches I fear snowbirds like myself would look to other areas for winter residence. MAYOR KRISEMAN UPDATE: If St. Petersburg Mayor Kriseman can talk to the Tampa Bay Rays owner and work to keep them here, why can't he be bothered to talk to the Maximo Marina owners from Chicago to work towards keeping the Maximo Seafood Shack here? All he has to do is call Bixby Bridge Capital and IGY Marinas! St. Petersburg Mayor Kriseman can help the big businesses like the Rays but not the small women-owned vet-owned business! Yet St. Petersburg Mayor Kriseman can stop by Five Guys Burgers and Fries and pose for pictures with his costly Dream Team staff — He added them to City's payroll when he came to office — having lunch. Yet, Mayor Kriseman can't stop by Maximo Seafood Shack in South St. Pete. Mayor Kriseman could meet with the neighborhoods and gauge their reaction to see how important the Maximo Seafood Shack is to the neighborhoods, the Southside and the area. Instead his Chief of Staff, Kevin King, called the Maximo Seafood Shack owner. Then the costly Mayor Kriseman Dream Team’s Communication and PR staff issue a statement on behalf of Mayor Kriseman.
