Kanye West’s concerts in Tampa scheduled for June 26th and 28th should NOT take place in Raymond James Stadium — a venue supported with public funds. There’s no place for antisemitism in Florida, especially at the expense of the taxpayer.

Kanye West is an admitted and prolific antisemite who has slandered Jews, praised Adolf Hitler, called himself a Nazi, and sold swastika merchandise on his website — among his numerous other antisemitic remarks and actions. Florida — and especially the Tampa Bay area  has a large Jewish population. Forcing them to support these concerts through their tax dollars is a complete slap in the face to the Jews in Florida and across the country and world.

As leaders, we should do everything in our power to keep public money and resources out of this kind of event, and that’s why these concerts should not take place at Raymond James Stadium or any other publicly supported venue in the State of Florida.

We the undersigned are calling for the Tampa Sports Authority to call off the shows.
