It’s hard to believe that Stand By Me is approaching its 40th anniversary — a timeless film that has impacted generations of movie fans and continues to hold a special place in our hearts. As fans, we’re incredibly excited to hear that the main cast (Wil Wheaton, Jerry O’Connell, and Corey Feldman) is likely reuniting to celebrate the legacy of this iconic film.

However, there is one actor who played a meaningful role and deserves to be included in this reunion:

👉 Bradley Gregg — better known to fans as Eyeball Chambers, Ace’s right-hand man and older brother to Chris Chambers.

While Eyeball may not have had as much screen time as the four main boys, Bradley delivered a performance that added real tension, authenticity, and grit to the film. Many fans still remember Eyeball’s scenes just as vividly as the leads. He helped bring Castle Rock to life — and deserves to stand alongside the rest of the cast as they look back on how this film was made.

What makes Bradley’s inclusion even more important is the deep, brother-like friendship he shared with River Phoenix, both on and off the set.
Bradley and River worked together on three different movies (Explorers, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Stand By Me), developing a genuine bond that extended far beyond the screen. Bradley has spoken publicly over the years about how close they were, and how much River meant to him not just as a co-star, but as a true friend.

Including Bradley in the reunion would be a powerful way to honor River’s legacy — giving fans a chance to hear heartfelt stories about River from someone who actually shared those moments with him.

We respectfully ask the organizers of the Stand By Me 40th Anniversary Reunion to include Bradley Gregg in the official lineup so he can share his experiences and memories alongside his fellow castmates.

Having the full cast represented would make this reunion complete — and would mean a lot to the fans who still cherish this classic nearly four decades later.
