In the aftermath of recent Mard Strike which has brought the memories of the past back when few of our fellow residents had suffered under the hands of high and mighty senior faculties with no ray of hope but to accept their high handedness. We need to bring long term solution to this menace. The medical residency programme needs to follow the grading system as done abroad. The teacher /unit/Department/Institution should be graded by the University based on the feedback form submitted by the residents at the end of residency. The grading of each faculty should be based on the training imparted and the treatment meted out to the residents in unit. The university should take cognisance of the department which blatantly violate these basic values of education system and those units which fail to change in spite of warnings from the university the residential program of these units should be suspended. The Department of Urology and the residents of Urology , LTMMC wish to propose to the Dean, Director, the Honourable Judge, and the MUHS university to bring these changes in Public, Private and DNB Hospitals .The faculties, doctors and residents who wish to bring these changes are requested to join the signature campaign or put their views on ‘’sionuro@rediffmail.com’’.
