Since the government is now throwing money towards the people who have recently lost jobs, due to the governments own failures to protect those people. The “Essential Workers” who must continue to keep the country running deserve hazard pay, as they are the ones risking their and their families health and well-being by continuing to work through this pandemic.

A nominal extra expense to show appreciation to those who work day and night to keep food on the tables of millions, and for those on the front lines (particularly nurses) who are risking infection by helping patients recover from this virus. 

This includes but is not limited to;

Nurses, Police, Doctors, Security, fastfood workers, supermarket employees, petrol station attendants and all manner of Essential positions that keep Australia running.

My personal suggestion would be $500-$750 a fortnight or waive all taxes for the weeks/months worked during this crisis.
