Dear Developers,

 

First of all, we want to express our sincere gratitude for your dedication, your transparency, and the warmth you pour into building the world of Linkon City. We see how much effort goes into the game, and we truly appreciate your willingness to listen to the community.

 

However, we received your recent announcement about cancelling both the launch and any further development of the new love interest, Valko, with deep regret and bewilderment. We understand that this decision was made under pressure from a certain segment of the audience, but we believe it is hasty, short‑sighted, and, frankly, a mistake.

 

Allow us to lay out our position clearly.

 

1. Valko is already loved. From the moment of his first teaser, the character generated tremendous interest and affection among thousands of players worldwide. Fan art, theories, discussions – the community had already embraced him as part of the universe. Many were eagerly waiting for him and making plans around his story. Cancelling a character who has already become part of our mental landscape devalues our emotions and expectations.

2. Cancellation is not a solution – it is an avoidance of the problem. The conflict around Valko did not arise because of him per se, but because of insufficient communication and, perhaps, fears among some fans about a perceived "imbalance" of attention away from older characters. Instead of refining his presentation, his story integration, or the mechanics of meeting him, you chose a radical path – total removal. That is like cutting a chapter out of a book because one reader objected. We believe that professionals of your calibre are capable of more nuanced and creative solutions.

3. European servers were looking forward to Valko with hope. In our region, the introduction of new characters is always an event. We are tired of formulaic archetypes, and Valko promised freshness, a new perspective, and new dynamics. Many of us had been saving resources, discussing his possible story branches, and genuinely celebrating the announcement. Now we feel cheated – not because you removed content, but because you removed it without even giving us a chance to get to know him.

4. You are yielding to a small, albeit vocal, minority. We have closely followed the discussions and can see that the main discontent came from a relatively small but active group. However, there are hundreds of thousands of players who either supported the addition, were looking forward to it, or simply remained silent because they were satisfied. A decision that affects the entire global player base should not be dictated by a fraction of the community, no matter how loud they are. By giving in to them, you risk alienating a much larger and more diverse audience.

 

Our request is simple: Please reconsider your decision. Do not erase Valko. Postpone his release if you need more time to polish his story and integrate him smoothly. Adjust his role, his interactions, or his introduction timing – but do not scrap him entirely. Give us, the players who were excited about him, a chance to experience the love story you originally envisioned.

 

We are not asking you to ignore criticism – we are asking you to balance it with the voice of the many who supported this addition. The European community has been patient, loyal, and passionate. Do not let the outrage of a few overshadow the hopes of the many.

 

Linkon City is a world that grows with us. Growth means change, and change sometimes means new faces. Please have the courage to stand by your creative vision while addressing concerns constructively, not destructively.
