We urge you not to acquiesce to pressure to ban Randa Abdel-Fattah’s forthcoming book tour in the UK.

This is another attempt to silence Palestinian voices.

In January, the Adelaide Festival collapsed after writers reacted to similar attempts to silence Ms Abdel-Fattah.

Her chief offence appears to be describing the attacks of 7 October 2023 as a “glimmer of hope” for Gazans.

Recently, a jury found Jewish activist Tony Greenstein not guilty of inviting support for Hamas when he described those events as the “Gaza ghetto uprising”.

A recent poll found that 54% of British people now believe the Government only protects speech with which it agrees.

Please prove them wrong and demonstrate that the UK protects freedom of speech for everyone, including Palestinians and those who support them.
