Stop houses being built on Longlands plot that has become home to many species of wildlife

The Issue

The problem is the site in Stourbridge is owned by BMET who say they no longer have any use for it so Persimmon Homes are proposing plans to build over 50 houses on it. It has been disused since 2011 and has now become home to many species of wildlife including protected species Badgers, Bats, Hedgehogs, Birds. It is illegal to move or destroy any of their homes.

The plans for housing need to be axed! For good! The already over populated area does not need any more houses. What it could do with is another park, a nature reserve and possibly a community centre or area. Over half of the area is full of age old oak trees and includes a small football pitch and another field which could easily be turned into a park or nature reserve. Something that would be of more benefit to local residents and wildlife, not some housebuilding company who's only interest is money and profit.

I am a local resident who lives close to the plot and I see and hear the many animals every day. I feed quite a lot of them including the badgers so I am greatly concerned about their welfare and lives.
