The Issue

Please do not sign this petition if you are not the owner of a home in North Hills, Rio Rancho, NM and please only sign once per address.

As a resident of North Hills for nearly 10 years I have seen a continuous decline in the neighborhood over this time, especially the last 5 years.
Our association dues use to go to a lot more than they do today, landscaping services have really gone downhill, and the association has gone from one management company to the next.

When I moved to North Hills our dues went mostly to the cost of lawn maintenance, including watering, and landscaping. The neighborhoods were green and flourishing and the landscape crews came through regularly, as scheduled and did an overall satisfactory job. Since then the association terminated the watering of grass, and replaced with rock. When this project happened lots were not properly graded, and vegetation was not terminated properly leading to excessive weeds and unsightly yards. The promised landscaping service is never done on time, especially the leaves in the fall. Often leaving homeowners to have to do it themselves while still having to pay their dues. The only service the HOA is providing us at this point is the landscaping. If you compare the services you get for the money you pay, you could hire an independent company for the same cost.
The HOA does also enforce the statues in an attempt to keep the neighborhood slightly, but ultimately they turn to Rio Rancho code enforcement in the end. Again something we could do ourselves, and do not need an association to do for us.

We are constantly bombarded with excessive notices that disrupt our daily lives. This mismanagement affects our community's quality of life and property values. It's time to dissolve the HOA and seek better alternatives for managing our neighborhood. Please sign this petition to support a change for the betterment of all North Hills residents.
