As a concerned citizen and a human being, I am deeply troubled by the ongoing violence in Palestine. Palestinians are losing their lives at an alarming rate, and it is our moral responsibility to protect human life when others fail to do so. The New Jersey-Israel Commission is fostering economic ties with Israel, which indirectly contributes to this tragic situation.

The commission was established with the aim of promoting economic growth through mutual cooperation between New Jersey and Israel. However, it's important to consider that any financial support given to Israel can potentially be used in ways that contribute to the suffering of Palestinians.

Governor Murphy's administration has been using funds generated from these ties for state purposes. While economic development is crucial for our state, we must question whether it should come at such a high humanitarian cost.

We believe there are other ways for New Jersey to thrive economically without supporting actions that lead to loss of innocent lives elsewhere in the world. It's time Governor Murphy puts an end to this arrangement.
