Right now, Bob Chapek is hoping this dies down in a week and we move on and keep spending money on Disney products. But we can’t let that happen. This petition gets sent to his email inbox every time we hit a milestone. So let’s keep sharing it! LGBT people are a minority, so that makes things difficult, but we are a passionate minority and have allies so I know we can get there! My goal is 10,000. That sounds like a lot, but hey, we went from 100 to 1000 in one day so we can do it again! Please continue to make noise. Even though the bill has passed in Florida the small commitments I asked for in the petition description are still valid. We still need a strong statement of denouncement and a commitment from Disney not to fund these politicians in the future. It’s the least they can do. I also implore you to consider cancelling Disney subscriptions such as Hulu and Disney+ and boycott the parks. I understand that is very difficult (believe me, I’m devastated about it), but we know that in the end Disney only cares about their bottom line, and queer people spend a lot of money on Disney. They WILL notice if we pull our funds. I’m also going to try my luck getting park tickets I already paid for refunded.
