Aussie and Me Animal Rescue, founded by Karen Kroll, has been a trusted part of our community for 15 years, inspiring confidence through its compassion and dedication to over 5,000 dogs. Recent charges threaten this trusted reputation and the future of the animals we all care about.

The charges in question are unfounded and unjust. Karen Kroll has always acted in the best interest of the animals she's rescued. Her commitment to ensuring the well-being of every animal is unparalleled. The animal care community recognizes Aussie and Me as a model organization, committed to transparency, quality care, and ethical practices.

A complaint by a former friend/colleague was made to local authorities, claiming there were animals being abused and suffering. Those who know Karen know this was a false accusation. Law enforcement decided to have all of the animals taken from the property. Rescue dogs, sanctuary dogs, and Karen's personal pets were aggressively trapped or pole caught and loaded into trailers, causing immense stress on the animals and Karen. Furthermore, the facility that took the animals refused to accept the medications or the current food that Karen offered to ensure continuity of care. 

The facility that took the animals is charging Karen with animal cruelty; however, all of the animals they took from her are currently being confined in crates and kennels with concrete floors, some of which are outside with no air conditioning. While in Karen's care, the dogs were fed high-quality dog food and had daily open access to a large yard, and were brought into the house every evening and during inclement weather.

There is substantial evidence, including documented care routines and testimonials, supporting Karen Kroll's innocence and ethical conduct. Adopters and volunteers share stories about the high standards of care and transparency that Aussie and Me maintains, reinforcing her integrity.

We urge the legal authority in charge to review the evidence thoroughly and dismiss the charges against Aussie and Me Animal Rescue. Your signatures and letters of support can help sway the decision, ensuring that Karen can continue her vital work and protect the animals' future.
