The last Animal Justice Party Forum in Geelong was a resounding success. Arian Wallach spoke about her experience on her station in Northern Territory, poison 1080 baits, and how its use has caused chaos in the biodiversity of Australia, by reducing dingo numbers, (the dingo being the Apex Predator in Australia). Dingoes control unwanted and introduced species such as foxes as well as wild cats. The next Animal Justice Party Forum is to take place in Ballarat on a date to be announced. It is banned in every other country in the world apart from New Zealand. EPA in America banned it because it was too high a risk to the environment and native species. It is being used in urban areas across Australia contrary to APVMA recommendations, the statutorily appointed Government Body.
