If you live in an urban area and have become aware that 1080 poison is being used, you should immediately write to the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority and complain. In Victoria, APVMA have said that 1080 should not be used in urban areas. You can also write to your local Council and demand that they conduct an enquiry about the fact that the baiting could be causing a public health risk. 1080 is a toxic slow killer to ANY animal including humans and there is no antidote.
