In September, 2023, the Australian Government plans to strike at the very heart of our Nation – the rich koala habitat at the core of the proposed Great Koala National Park. But of course human life is not at risk. So, does it really matter? They’re just Koalas. Predicted to be extinct by 2050 at the rate we are taking away their habitat. But they’re just koalas, just a rare and unique, iconic symbol of our Nation.

It is a conscious, planned attack and we know where and when it will happen. But not too many people will see, so does it really matter? They’re just koalas. 

The target is Tuckers Nob State Forest on the Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia. We must knock this forest down so that we can continue to provide jobs for the Forestry Corporation and supply an offshore market with disposable paper products, at minimal return, or indeed a loss. 

Shameful. 

Our Government has initiated and is in full support of this action. The same Government that earlier this year committed to the development of the Great Koala National Park in a bid to save the state’s endangered koala population. The same Government whose spokesperson stated, "I don't accept that one of our most loved and iconic native species could become extinct here in just 28 years’ time" and, “By protecting the places these koalas live, and by working closely with all stakeholders, we can ensure we bring these incredible creatures back from the brink.”

The forest neighbours of Tuckers Nob State Forest are stakeholders in this matter, as is any human with a heart. 

We are being ignored. The strike is imminent.
