On February 3rd, the city council approved a nearly $200,000 contract for the Morse Planning Group to solely handle and prepare Walmart's Environmental Impact Report and application. Mayor Adam "turncoat" Sanchez was the swing 3-2 vote in favor. With the city understaffed and facing a backlog of permits, why isn't this firm being used to help on other backlogged projects the city has? Oh yeah, Walmart only cares about Walmart. Also, the firm did not publicly disclose how many Walmarts they have specifically worked on in the past (at least a few) and have likely recommended for approval. We have to keep them honest and make sure to submit comments to the Draft EIR once it is released to the public.
