Deport the Eissa Hashemi families of Iranian government officials from U.S soil
The Issue
According to the news, the Iranian government killed more than 12,000 protesters in just 5 days, from January 8 to January 12, 2026, during peaceful demonstrations. While Iranian officials openly chant “death to the United States,” many of them have family members living safely inside the U.S.
Eissa Hashemi is one of them.
He is the son of Masoumeh Ebtekar, a spokesperson for the Iranian revolutionary forces during the 444-day hostage-taking of U.S. embassy workers. She has never expressed regret for her actions. Instead, those actions advanced her career after the revolution, allowing her to hold high-ranking government positions for years.
Her son, Eissa Hashemi, has lived in the United States since 2010, enjoying a luxurious life funded by the wealth of the Iranian people. He has never distanced himself from his mother’s actions or legacy.
Additionally, it must be noted that Eissa Hashemi is currently working in Chicago as an Adjunct Faculty member at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP). We formally demand that the Chicago School Board and relevant academic authorities conduct a thorough background review and make the appropriate and ethical decision to terminate any form of collaboration or affiliation with him. Academic institutions must not provide legitimacy, platforms, or employment to individuals who are directly connected to oppressive regimes responsible for crimes against humanity.
We, the Iranian people, demand the deportation of these individuals. They live safely in the United States while benefiting from the suffering of Iranians, as their families continue to rule a brutal dictatorship in Iran.
UPDATE: As of January 26, 2026, the death toll from the massacre of Iranian people has risen to 36,500.
