The Issue

SIGN HERE AND SHARE  The British public is being forced to pay hundreds of millions of pounds every single year to house people who entered the United Kingdom illegally in hotels across the country.

While ordinary working people struggle with the cost of living, rising rents, and the difficulty of finding somewhere affordable to live, hotels that should be available for British families, workers, and holidaymakers are being block-booked instead. Local services are stretched. Communities feel ignored. And taxpayers are left to foot the bill.

This is not sustainable. This is not fair. And it is not what the majority of people in this country want.

Every week we see more hotels taken over. Every week more pressure is placed on councils, the NHS, housing, and local communities. People who play by the rules and work hard are watching resources being diverted while their own needs are pushed aside.

A country that cannot control its borders and prioritise its own citizens is failing in one of its most basic responsibilities. The current system sends the wrong message: that illegal entry will be accommodated and rewarded with hotel accommodation at the public’s expense.

We call on the UK Government to take clear and immediate action:

End the use of hotels for people who arrived in the UK illegally, including those who crossed the Channel in small boats.
Prioritise rapid processing and the deportation of those whose claims are refused.
Stop placing the burden of this crisis on local communities and public services.
Redirect the money currently spent on hotels into supporting genuine refugees, the NHS, and British citizens who are struggling.
This petition is a clear message from the public. We want secure borders. We want fairness. We want the government to put the interests of the British people first.

The British public has been patient for too long. It’s time to make our voices impossible to ignore.
