DePaul University Cutting Millions from Staff, Faculty and Student Affairs!

DePaul University Cutting Millions from Staff, Faculty and Student Affairs!
The Issue
Budget cuts are expected to hit DePaul University’s staff, faculty (including term and adjunct professors), and Student Affairs departments centering marginalized voices the hardest. Additionally, because DePaul is a religious institution, it is federally illegal for professors to unionize. We, the undersigned, ask that DePaul’s President, Rob Manuel and his offices to work with us to protect our at-risk professors and programs.
The President and Vice President Eugene Zdziarski have offered to meet with us at an unconfirmed time and place. This is a great step in the right direction, but does not ensure that our demands will be met.
We ask that DePaul University's President and his offices to redirect these budget cuts to away from student serving staff by directing pay cuts to highest paid staff (especially top coaches, as the mens basketball coach alone makes $1.3m!) This would protect the education and services that are offered to students and keep them up to standard.
