The Silent Destruction of the Kangaroos

Of the approximate 90ha of foraging area for the mob of Kangaroos (outlined in red on the accompanying map) 28ha has been bought by Lend Lease for intense housing development. That area is defined in yellow outline on the accompanying map. Lend Lease has sought Commonwealth Govt approval to develop that area under the EPBC Act but does not mention the visually obvious presence of the Kangaroos. Further, Lend Lease understates the "Critically Endangered" Cumberland Plain Shale Woodlands present. The Commonwealth Govt has told Lend Lease that further documentation is required before further consideration is given.
Meanwhile, Western Sydney University (an institution devoted to environmental sensitivity? Not on this performance!) has had the remaining 58ha rezoned as a Business Park. What are your intentions with the mob of Kangaroos WSU? How will they be sustained? Or is it your intention to kill them?
Both WSU and Lend Lease are demonstrating that money making is their primary motive when looking at a parcel of land while environmental sensitivity and, in this case, the long history of Kangaroos on this land has no natural or cultural relevance.
Many thanks to each of you who have risen to higher quality of life than those who seek crass monetary gain at every opportunity and that you have signed this petition and seek preservation of these Kangaroos and their habitat and foraging area in Werrington, Western Sydney.
What is the worth of Western Sydney University's environmental studies when it is prepared to inflict this death upon the natural environment?
