From their decision to keep marijuana a schedule 1 classified drug, it is obvious that the DEA does not have the best interests of our citizens in mind. There is overwhelming evidence of the medical benefits of marijuana and it's compounds as well as evidence regarding it's lack of potential for abuse and general safety comparative to almost any medicine in use today, including OTC (over the counter) drugs (aspirin has caused more deaths; marijuana has caused zero). Support in favor of the legalization is also at an alltime high with Gallup polls showing more than half our population is in favor of legalization. If our government or a branch of our government is not working in favor of the people, then that branch is failing it's intended purpose.
