Terara Public School has been told today they have to cut their enrolments from 93 to 27 as a result of current NSW Department of Education actions.  This includes splitting up siblings and requiring them to go to different schools.

Following changes to the enrolment policy, ‘non-local’ enrolments will no longer be accepted, INCLUDING siblings of currently enrolled students.  This includes Kindergarten enrolments for 2020!!!  With our school currently at 93 students, 21 ‘local’ and 72 ‘non-local’, these drastic changes could mean the end to our beautiful rural school in the coming years.

Please sign our petition and help us to get an exemption for 2020 Kindergarten ‘non-local’ enrolments accepted and allow 12 months for proper consultation to find a solution together to make Terara Public School viable for many, many more years to come!
