I just wanted to take the time to thank each and every one of you for signing and sharing this petition. When I made this petition, I didn't think it would reach 100 signatures and now it's sitting at over 1500! I'm extremely overwhelmed and grateful for the amount of support and traction it's getting.

Just to give you an update, I have been in contact with David Shoebridge, a NSW Green's representative, I have attempted contact with Equality Australia and awaiting their reply, I'm being interviewed for a news article today and pedestrian.tv shared this petition on their Facebook page. This is due to all your support and you all spreading the word! This petition has gotten the recognition it needed and informed many of Mark Latham's horrible intention to discriminate and harm some of our most vulnerable. Children need to be educated about the many different genders, identities and sexualities and celebrate it! Our society can longer continue to define gender only by male and female. 

Continue to spread the word and let bigots like Mark Latham know we won't stand for their small minded hypocrisy!
