Local children are being turned away from their local schools because of a serious flaw in the educational bodies of Northern Ireland. Fundung has been slashed right across the board resulting in 65 schools being closed down, admissions into the remaining schools have not been increased with children left in limbo with no choice of school whatsoever, other children being expected to travel at 11 years of age up to 160 miles round trip just to get an education. These educational cuts and resources which were meant to benefit our children have not at all, where is the aid of a robust area planning system which was meant to identify the long term needs? Planning and decision making has not been very well thought out and it's failing our children. Education is the most important tool we can give to our children they are the future of this country and shouldn't have to be dealing with the stress, anxiety and worries that is being put upon then at such an early age. These children cannot speak for themselves and need a voice, please sign this petition and let's hold the education authority to account for all these problems which they have caused in their misguided ideas of how they precieve the education system to be slashing funds and saving money is not as important as out children's education.
