There's still no word from DOC. We need DOC approval for vehicles to use the current walking access. The road needs realignment in three places - absolutely possible. The good news is we have verbal support from our mayor, deputy mayor and at least two councillors. Once DOC approves the project it will be a case of finding funding to do it soon. No waiting for another 10 year plan! As of this morning we are just 42 signatures short of 5000! That's how important access to our coastline is to this wider community. Thanks for all the support!
