That the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) provide the same additional financial support to all those on legacy benefits during the new 2021 Covid lockdown as was provided to all new UC (Universal Credit) claimants during the 2020 Covid lockdown.

All those who were claiming legacy benefits before the 2020 Covid lockdown were excluded from this additional financial support, including all those who cannot work due to sickness and disability.

This has created a two tier welfare system and has meant a real terms reduction in living standards for some of the most vulnerable in our society just when they most required government support because of the increased financial and social pressures associated with lockdowns.

In the interests of fairness, equality, social and economic justice and human rights, it is absolutely crucial for the UK government to fulfill it's most fundamental duty - to safeguard the equal protection of ALL the nation's citizens, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, social class and economic status, ability and disability.
