Stop RNN Group closing Dinnington Campus

Stop RNN Group closing Dinnington Campus
The Issue
Dinnington Campus, formerly Rother Valley College has been at the heart of Dinnington for decades. It provides a source of vocational further education for a variety of learners including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The college closing will not only impact the educational opportunities for the students, but the wider communities.
We, the undersigned, are opposed to the proposed closure of the Dinnington Campus of RNN Group, which is an educational institution essential to the citizens of the Rother Valley.
We call on the Department to:
halt the closure of Dinnington Campus pending an investigation of RNN Group’s capacity to manage post-16 educational provision for the people of its communities, as well as the impact any closures would have on the communities they serve.
fully consult with students, staff, and local residents and businesses on any future proposals
Dinnington College campus is attended by over 575 students and has served the needs of thousands of local residents over many years. The College should provide unique opportunities in our community for students of a variety of backgrounds to access quality local post-16 education provision. Closure would mean the practical withdrawal of such services, and harm the life chances of many student
