Deny Parole for Austin Tybre Ford—Stand With Tori “Kiwi” Lang’s Family
The Issue
We, the undersigned members of the community, respectfully ask the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles not to finalize the tentative grant of parole for Austin Tybre Ford.
Tori “Kiwi” Lang was a beloved daughter, family member, friend, and valued member of her community. Her loss and the crimes committed afterward have caused lasting pain to her parents, Teresa and Torrey Lang, their loved ones, and the community.
Nearly five years later, the Lang family continues to live with the emotional impact of losing their only daughter. The possibility of parole has reopened wounds that have never fully healed.
This petition is not intended to disclose the family’s private medical or personal information. Its purpose is to show the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles that the community remains concerned, that Tori’s life continues to matter, and that the impact of these crimes did not end when the criminal proceedings concluded.
We understand that the Board considers many factors when making a parole decision. We respectfully ask the Board to give serious consideration to:
• The seriousness of the convicted conduct
• The continuing impact on Tori’s parents and family
• The emotional impact on the community
• The family’s ongoing concerns
• The limited justice the family believes it received
We stand with Teresa and Torrey Lang in remembrance of their beloved daughter, Tori “Kiwi” Lang.
We respectfully request that parole be denied at this time and that the tentative parole decision not be finalized.
Tori “Kiwi” Lang’s life mattered. Her family’s pain matters. The community’s voice matters.
