Deny Joe Biden the Democratic Party Nomination

Deny Joe Biden the Democratic Party Nomination
The Issue
We never wanted Biden. It is unclear why the establishment is only calling for Joe Biden’s removal now, after his poor debate performance. When We The People never wanted Biden as our nominee— not in 2020, and not in 2024.
We have been telling the democratic elites Biden was unfit to serve another term, for a long time; in February, 71% of Democrats say Biden was too old to work in government [1]. The debate was just confirmation of what we already knew: Biden is on track to become the next Ronald Reagan should he assume office. The party elites rallied around him only because they were too afraid to challenge him and seriously consider anyone else.
We have heard the DNC opine enough about big tent politics and appealing to their idea of an “electable” candidate. They believe electability stems from incumbency and a nomination in the interest of big-money donors and political elites. That doesn't make him electable, it makes him fundable. But what makes a candidate truly electable? What makes it so that We The People feel inspired and represented? What makes it so that the entire democratic base shows up at the ballot box on November 5th? An honest person who will fight for what we, the democratic base, believe in.
The most salient and pressing issue illustration of the Democratic Party blatant disregard for its constituents is Gaza. 75% of us, a supermajority, disapprove of the military action Israel has taken in Gaza [2]. We are tired of the politicians in Washington ignoring us and assuming that we will fall in line in November. It is abundantly clear that Biden will lose critical states like Michigan, because of his complicity in Israeli war crimes. In other states, like Ohio, the Democratic primary did not even include a write-in option— effectively silencing any and all dissent. We rebuke the notion that going to the primary and clicking on or past the only option for the presidential nominee somehow means that we elected Joe Biden to run for us. And we assert that this is a poor attempt by the DNC to manage democracy in favor of special interests and political elites. A process made obvious given that there has not been a popular Democratic nominee since 2012.
We demand the DNC reform its primary selection process. We call for the DNC to ban any and all PAC, corporate, and large-donor funding for primaries. We further demand the DNC give equal representation for all voters throughout the nation and fair elections with majority voting. We demand the abolishment of the delegate system in favor of direct democratic action and that every ballot has a write-in option.
And no. We don't want Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsom. We want a real chance to nominate our own candidate from the bottom up.
