The Issue

Like many Canadians, I have always believed in equality under the law. To me, this means everyone should face the same consequences for their actions, regardless of their fame or political clout. It is for this reason that I demand the Canadian Federal Government deny entry to Donald J. Trump for the upcoming G7 Summit at Kananaskis, Alberta in June 2025 based on his criminal status as a convicted felon.

Donald J. Trump's outright disdain for the rule of law and his ongoing threats to annex Canada as the 51st U.S. state has only intensified my concern. Such action would put all Canadian citizens at risk of unimaginable economic calamity.  Regardless of Trump's diplomatic status, he should be treated as any other convicted felon and be denied entry into Canada.

To drive my point, a report by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) noted that Canada has previously denied access to individuals with past criminal convictions. This same standard should apply to Donald J. Trump, ensuring that Canada's laws and sovereignty are respected equally by everyone.

Help us defend the essence of our constitution and demonstrate that nobody is above the law. Sign this petition to call on the Canadian Federal Government to stand strong and deny Donald J. Trump entry into Canada for the G7 Summit.
