Yesterday marks the first victory!
The judge revoked and set a NO BOND on my nephew, Easton Vance. Eastons most heniuous crime he's been charged with at this time is AGGRAVATED RAPE OF A CHILD! Elliot was only 15 months old! When you hear of this case..I want to to ALWAYS remember Elliot's age! How can someone!? I just can't get it.
Anywho...for now a huge weight for so many was lifted. We know he will remain where he belongs until he faces trial.
He does have a trial for another case coming. Yup, he was racking up the charges before he chose to victimize an innocent, defenseless toddler.
The judge said, "he knew those that spoke for Easton did so out of love. But that didn't overshadow the fact that he was a danger to citizens in the community". (That's not word for word but rather close)
I cannot thank everyone enough. From the depths of my soul. As humans I believe most of us have a moral line that you can't allow crossed. And this line is one for a majority. I can't say all, sadly. But a majority nonetheless.
I feel this was a major win but just the beginning. Keep praying over Elliot's family. I can't imagine the pain and will never pretend to. All I know is, together, sweet Elliot will be heard.
