Governments of countries such as Denmark are going to sacrifice lots of farm minks because they got infected with coronavirus in whom it mutated. This new infection may be dangerous not just for humans but for wild minks also, and it was caused by the lack of regulations in those farms.

To begin with, these farms are cruel places were most of the animals live locked up in cages and end up as fur coats. They are so close to each other that the infection propagated and mutated in no time, infecting at least two hundred workers. To avoid future problems and end with this cruelty, we need to close these farms permanently.

Moreover, furtive hunters may start selling wild minks at high prices because of the farm closing, spreading the new virus. Given today's coronavirus statistics, we cannot open another way of contagion. We need wildlife organizations to protect them and keep them away from civilization.

Nonetheless, people will start murdering them in fear of getting contaminated. We do not need another endangered species to disappear because of big industries. We need governments to protect these wild populations and to do something more human with the farm animals.

To summarize, this infection was caused because of an issue that had to be banned a long time ago. Unless we do something, wild minks also will end up murdered either for humans or for the virus. These farms need to be closed and wild minks protected. Please sign this petition!
