Petition for Neighborhood Playground – Denali Heights Area

In the developing Denali Heights subdivision, the developer was required to dedicate three parcels of land to the Village for future park use. The Village received these properties in 2022, located at 9746, 9734, and 9722 Denali Drive.

At this time, the Village has indicated that park development in this area is part of its long-term planning and will be considered as part of the upcoming 5-year Capital Improvement Plan.

Denali Heights connects with Crystal Hills and Hawks Pointe, forming a large and growing residential area with many young families. In addition, nearby neighborhoods such as Chicory Ridge offer established park amenities that serve as an important community resource.

Residents in this area are expressing strong interest in having access to a neighborhood playground within walking distance. A local park would provide a safe and convenient space for children and families, while also enhancing the overall value and livability of the community.

We respectfully ask the Village to consider prioritizing a small, phase-one playground in the Denali Heights area as part of the upcoming planning and budgeting process.

This could begin as a modest installation and expand over time as resources allow.
