Demanding Revoke the decision to close 53 yeras old bookstall at SRP station

The Issue

To

The Railway ministry, India.

We, the undersigned, urge the Railway Ministry,India to reconsider and revoke the decision to close the 53-year-old bookstall at SRP Station, West Bengal. This bookstall, known as Jain Book Stall and owned by Mr. Abhisekh Jain, holds immense sentimental value for the residents and has been a valuable resource for government job aspirants in the adjacent areas. Its closure would not only impact the livelihood of the owner but also hinder the dreams of many individuals who rely on it for their study materials.
The bookstall has been a part of the station for over five decades, and its closure would not only be a loss for the owner but also for the community it serves. We kindly request the authorities to consider the impact of this decision on the local residents and the aspiring individuals who depend on the stall for their educational and career needs.
We hope that the Railway Ministry will take into account the sentiments of the local community and the significance of the bookstall in the lives of the people it serves, and therefore, we respectfully petition for the decision to close the Jain Book Stall to be revoked.

Sincerely,
Bivash Gupta (serampore Sangskritik Samanway )
