1️⃣ City Council Meeting – TOMORROW (Tuesday, Sept 9 @ 4:30 PM PT, City Hall)
Make signs, wear red, rally together and fill City Hall AGAIN with our resolute demand to not have California's first (untested/brand new technology) plastics incinerator 500 feet from our children, in a thriving business park and residential neighborhood... Let's pack the room once more to show our elected officials- we demand protecting our health and safety, STOP permitting the PROHIBITED land use of incineration!

Our ask to the City Council, let's include in all public comments: Start the revocation process and set a date for a public hearing.

Every body in the room matters — bring a friend or neighbor if you can.

2️⃣ FINAL DAY: Close the SB 131 Loophole
We are almost out of time to fix one of the worst rollbacks to California’s environmental protections in 50 years. By Tuesday night, legislative leaders must finalize language to:

❌ Remove the dangerous “Advanced Manufacturing” exemption from CEQA.
🌱 Restore habitat protections for threatened and endangered species.

Call Senate President pro Tempore Mike McGuire at (916) 651-4002. Thank him for promising to fix the worst aspects of SB 131 and ask him to honor his promise before the session ends. It's vital to (1) remove the exemption for "advanced manufacturing" and (2) restore protections for the habitat of endangered and threatened species.
