Demanding Action & Identification (Drone Siting)

Demanding Action & Identification (Drone Siting)
The Issue
We, the undersigned citizens of the United States, express our growing concern regarding the increasing sightings of unidentified and unexplained drones across New Jersey and other states.
These aerial vehicles, which appear to be operating without identification or clear purpose, pose serious risks to public safety, national security, and the privacy of our citizens. Despite repeated sightings, there has been no official explanation regarding their origin, intent, or the potential dangers they may pose.
We believe it is the duty of our federal government and military to take decisive and immediate action to address this issue. If these drones cannot be identified and their operators cannot be located, we demand that these drones be intercepted and neutralized as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of our nation. As stated: “If we don’t know, then we must shoot it down.”
Our concerns include but are not limited to:
1. National Security Risks – These unidentified drones could be operated by foreign adversaries, malicious entities, or other actors with harmful intent.
2. Privacy Violations – The presence of unidentified drones infringes upon the privacy of American citizens, leaving us vulnerable to unwarranted surveillance.
3. Aviation Safety – Unregulated drones pose potential threats to both commercial and private aircraft, increasing the likelihood of accidents.
4. Public Confidence – The government’s inability to address or explain these occurrences erodes public trust in the institutions tasked with ensuring our safety and security.
We hereby petition the federal government and military to:
1. Conduct Immediate Investigations – Identify the source, purpose, and operators of these drones through all available means, including advanced surveillance technologies and intelligence resources.
2. Enforce Airspace Security – Deploy counter-drone technologies to track, intercept, and, if necessary, shoot down drones that are deemed unidentifiable or a threat to public safety.
3. Increase Transparency – Regularly communicate findings and actions taken regarding this issue to the public to maintain accountability and reassure citizens of their safety.
4. Establish Clear Protocols – Implement strict regulations and enforcement mechanisms to prevent unauthorized drone activity in U.S. airspace.
Our country has the technology, resources, and expertise to address this issue effectively. Failing to act risks exposing our nation to unnecessary threats and undermines public confidence in our leaders’ ability to protect and serve.
We, the people of the United States, demand immediate action to protect our skies, our communities, and our national security.
