Demand Warner Bros. Release Full Cartoon Network Series in Physical Media

The Issue

As a lifelong fan, and one among many, I look back fondly on Cartoon Network series from the past - getting houseful of laughter, joy, and adventure from characters like Ben 10, Static Shock, and Generator Rex. Despite such popularity, these titles, along with others like Storm Hawks, are not fully available in physical media. Digitization and streaming services cannot replace the charm of owning a physical BluRay of a beloved series. An some aren’t even in digital at all.

Those of us who love and reminiscence these shows are left in want of a tangible way to hold, revisit, and share these works of art with the newer generations. This is personal for me - as it is for many others.

This demand isn't just rooted in nostalgia. This can actually prove profitable for Warner Bros. The rise of vinyl sales in the music industry bears testimony to the fact that people still place great value in physical products. In 2019, vinyl records had outpaced CDs in profits for the first time since the 1980s, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Similarly, the production of BluRay versions of these shows can not only stay true to their original brilliance, but also offer new features attracting even more fans. This has potential to increase sales, open new avenues of revenue for Warner Bros, and potentially revive interest enough to bring some of these shows back.

Just imagine proudly holding a box set of Ben 10 or diving back into the world of Generator Rex with a complete series BluRay collection! For many, including myself, this is not about the convenience of consuming media; it's about cherishing and reliving our cherished memories in the finest way possible.

Let's urge Warner Bros. to make physical media for all Cartoon Network shows from the past and provide us with the opportunity to experience these joys once more. Sign this petition and make your voice heard to Warner Bros. It's time we brought our favorite shows all the way home.
