As a resident of the Redlands community, I am deeply invested in the outcomes of local infrastructure projects that impact our quality of life and environment. One of the most significant projects in our area is the Judy Holt Park environmental rehabilitation works. However, there seems to be a severe lack of transparency surrounding the developments, changes, and future expectations of this project.

Initially contracted for $34,336,538.14 with McMahon Services, the project has already faced various hurdles and operational shifts. An unexpected closure of Lloyd Vista on 16 February 2026 has raised numerous questions about the changes in project scope since it begun. Were there additional adjustments that led to this disruption? More importantly, have these changes resulted in further financial implications that exceed the previously disclosed contract amount?

It's concerning to think about what other changes have been made without the community's knowledge or consent. We deserve to be informed about amendments in project scope and any potential cost overruns. Additionally, clearer communication is vital to understand when the project is expected to be completed and how it will benefit our community once it's finished.

Residents of Redlands and other interested stakeholders need clarity. There must be a strong commitment from the council to provide a comprehensive update on the state of Judy Holt Park's rehabilitation project. This should include a detailed report on current progress, any modifications since commencement, and an updated timeline for completion.
