Demand Transparency and the Resignation of Superintendent Mike Neubeck

The Issue

As a member of the Byron community and a parent to a child in the Byron School District, I am deeply concerned and frustrated with the current administration under our Superintendent, Dr. Mike Neubeck. Much of this concern stems from a palpable lack of transparency about our district's financial position.

Though it is widely acknowledged that there is a financial crisis, there has been an outright denial for the dissemination of critical information. Meetings crucial to clarifying the financial status have been abruptly cancelled with almost no notice, leaving us parents and committee members in the dark.

More so, facts about the district's finances have not been adequately presented or explained, leaving us, the stakeholders, without any understanding of the reasons underpinning this crisis.

We demand honesty, openness, and an end to evasiveness and obfuscation. We call for the resignation of Dr. Mike Neubeck, so that our community can begin afresh with a superintendent that appreciates the necessity of maintaining trust through transparency and engagement with the community.

Superintendent Neubeck's actions, or lack thereof, directly influence the quality of education our children receive. This is more than just a community issue; it is about our children's future.
