As a resident of Franklin County, I am scared to drive I-57 because it is now so dangerous due to the unending road construction, and many other residents feel the same. We are calling on the Illinois Department of Transportation to release crash reports and fatalities for the last 5 years on the stretch of I-57 under construction from Benton to West Frankfort, Illinois. Additionally, we demand a clear finish date for this construction project and constant ISP patrols in the area to ensure safety. These measures are crucial to prevent further fatalities and injuries.
