Demand the UK Home Secretary to Extradite Andrew & Tristan Tate for Serious Charges

The Issue

I am appalled, as many of you would be, by the fact that Andrew and Tristan Tate, despite having allegations of rape and human trafficking laid against them, are manipulating the system to evade justice. Ascending to fame and fortune in Romania, they have deftly steered clear of any consequence for their deeds. Even with outstanding charges in another EU state, they have managed to find refuge within the United States, a nation that stands as an ally to the United Kingdom.

The UK-US Extradition Treaty of 2003 was put into effect to ensure lawbreakers could not evade justice by crossing international borders. Facing valid charges such as these, the Tates' case screams for the exact purpose of this treaty.

Sexual exploitation and human trafficking are gruesome realities of our world today. As per the Global Report on Trafficking in Persons released by the UNODC, sexual exploitation is the most common form of human trafficking (59% as per the data), and that women and girls form 71% of the total human trafficking victims worldwide.

No person, no matter how influential, should be allowed to escape such serious allegations. We irrevocably demand that the UK Home Secretary puts forth a formal request for the extradition of Andrew and Chrisitan Tate back to the United Kingdom under the UK-US Extradition Treaty of 2003. In this way, they could face the allegations against them under the light of justice, delivering a resonating message that evasion from justice is not possible. Sign this petition to send a strong call for justice and equality before the law.
