I am a concerned citizen, deeply invested in the principles that our great nation was built upon. The Constitution, our guiding document, clearly states that any person involved in an insurrection is disqualified from holding office. This principle is currently being challenged and it's crucial we stand up for what's right.

The U.S. Constitution, under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment states "No person shall... hold any office... who, having previously taken an oath... to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same." This provision was put into place after Civil War to prevent those who had rebelled against Union from serving again in government (source: National Archives).

Our democracy depends on these rules being upheld by our highest court – The Supreme Court of United States. It's essential that we demand they uphold this constitutional provision and ensure those involved in insurrection are held accountable.
