Horse Plus Humane Society attended Wilson Horse and Mule auction in Cookeville, Tennessee, July 25, 2023. As usual when they attend, the traders round up the most critical equines that can NOT be shipped to slaughter, for Horse Plus to heavily solicit money. This poor horse is no different. Horse Plus Humane Society has created a market for these downed, and suffering animals.
Why is the Tennessee Department of Agriculture never around when Horse Plus Humane Society attends and these equines in terrible shape arrive? Why no citation over this poor downed horse when there are numerous over exotic animals. Why is it that animals in this shape only arrive in Cookeville when Horse Plus attends? Stop giving money so that Horse Plus Humane Society can line the pockets of these traders and reward animal owners with money for mistreating, abusing and neglecting animals.
Why was there no on-site veterinarian to assist with this downed equine? Isn't there usually one on-site to draw coggins? Why was it that Horse Plus Humane Society could not call a local veterinarian to come out and assist? Why is it that Horse Plus Humane Society allowed this animal to continue to languish in severe pain until the next morning? Was it so they could continue to exploit this poor horse? Take photo opportunities with downed animals? Doesn't this disgust you? It certainly does me! DEMAND CHANGE.
DEMAND THE STATE OF TENNESSEE START INVESTIGATING THE COLLUSION OF THESE SUFFERING ANIMALS TO BE BROUGHT TO HORSE PLUS HUMANE SOCIETY ONCE A MONTH.
All Horse Plus Humane Society is doing is encouraging abuse, neglect and pure torment of animals by paying them money to bring them. How is this helping suffering animals? How long are they waiting until the next auction that Horse Plus Humane Society announces? Its cruel and Horse Plus Humane Society is allowing it to continue without pursing any of them for the horrific conditions of the animals.
Horse Plus Humane Society continues to say they are saving animals from brutal slaughter. WRONG! These animals CANNOT be shipped. They are misleading donors.

Animals continue to suffer while they can buy a new rescue truck that is fully loaded. Is this a rescue you want to support? A rescue that begs for money and cries about a 30% deficit in the budget, causing them to lay off staff (there words but yet to see any staff laid off, but it works as a guilt trip and post in the comment section they are looking to hire a farm hand), yet they brag on the new truck purchase? The audacity of an organization to guilt trip followers into giving more money because now, they show pictures of downed equines that are suffering, emaciated and crippled/or injured equines.
