Instead of having trader friends bring these sick/injured and unhandled equines directly to Horse Plus Humane Society, they concocted to have animals brought to them in Cookeville, Tennessee. They would make little to no donations had they actually encouraged the right thing and brought suffering animals to them long before last night's auction. Instead, they are able to pass them off as being saved from slaughter. It's all about the money and not the animals.

They purchased 21, which they indicate were ALL the animals brought to Cookeville, Tennessee. Horse Plus Humane Society vet admits to an active case of strangles. Was this reported to the Department of Agriculture? We will expect to see a report on this auction having an active case at the sale. Will we? Doubtful. Horse Plus Humane Society has NEVER reported any cases of abuse, devastating injuries, chronic/serious contagious diseases, or other conditions to the State of Tennessee.

Horse Plus Humane Society collects at least $1000.00 per animal to purchase at auction. Most, if not all of these, will be euthanized. Most, if not all of them, were never at risk of being shipped to slaughter. Horse Plus Humane Society continues to tell donors that they saved them from brutal slaughter. These are animals that "traders" are unable to sell, unable to ship and simply want to unload to the highest bidder, Horse Plus Humane Society. 

State of Tennessee, you need to step up and shut this scamming down. Animals are suffering just to haul them to Cookeville, Tennessee for the night that Horse Plus attends. When are you going to step up? Are you going to continue to allow the pain and suffering of animals? It certainly appears this way.
