I am a former student of Saint Mary's Hall in San Antonio, TX, where I experienced bullying that was ignored by the school administration. But my personal experience pales in comparison to the alarming reports of sexual abuse against minors at this institution. This negligence is not only unacceptable but also illegal and traumatic for those affected.

According to statistics from Darkness to Light, one in 10 children will be sexually abused before they turn 18. This statistic is horrifying on its own, but it becomes even more so when renowned institutions like Saint Mary's Hall fail to protect their students from such harm.

The school has shown a clear pattern of negligence regarding these serious allegations. It is our responsibility as concerned citizens and alumni to ensure that our schools are safe environments for all students. We must demand accountability from those who have failed our community.

We urge you to sign this petition demanding the immediate shutdown of Saint Mary's Hall, as we recognize such harm is systemic and the history of this institution is, on endless counts, unacceptable and unforgivable as an institution that is supposed to protect its children. Your signature can make a difference in holding negligent institutions accountable and protecting future generations from harm.
