The SEC needs to fire Jason Autrey. 

Jason Autrey and his officiating crew have been a part of numerous scandals, missed calls, unnecessary calls, and are overall grossly incompetent and under qualified for the job. All you have to do is lookup his name to see what he’s been a part of. There’s even a YouTube video about him titled “The worst ref in SEC history” (I’ll link it below)

“Jason Autrey works in Florida as a public works director. He has never played even one down of organized football in his life. He started running the clock in Middle School games… He very quickly and inexplicably started officiating College and then Division 1 schools with very little experience. He also said reffing is not a career but a hobby.”

2024 SC/LSU ineligible receiver, blocked punt, unnecessary roughness

2020 Auburn/Arkansas- backward pass (resulted in referee crew suspension)

2022 Auburn/Alabama- Punt no touch

2022 Alabama/Tennessee- Celebration?

This list is not even close to showing all of his “bad calls”, these are just the calls that had huge effects on games that made headlines. 

There is absolutely no reason Jason Autrey should be a referee for one of the best conferences in the nation. He’s under qualified, and has proved himself unfit for the job numerous times. I hope fans across the SEC and nation can see the issue with this.
